WITNESS POST Series

Witness post refers to a signpost "placed on a claim line when it cannot be placed in the corner of a claim because of water or difficult terrain." Our culture is a kind of terrain that makes sustainability and reclamation difficult. These writers bear witness to this complex task; their claims help us work toward awareness and action.

MEANDER SCAR Series

Flood meander scar is a river's experiment: high water forges new flow patterns. The mainstream may never frequent these pathways; yet, the record of such possibilities intensifies our awareness. Meander conjures whimsy; scar suggests both injury and healing. Let's examine forms that enact such fullness.

HIGH WATERMARK

Our salo[o]ns pair writers and artists for an exhibition and performance. Each gala is documented in a literary chapbook with full color plates. This series began our press back in 2006. Stockport Flats is named for a flood plain on the Pennsylvania side of the Upper Delaware River.

STOCKPORT FLATS

In the muddy mop-up after Federal Disaster #1649, the worst of three 100-year floods, poet Lori Anderson Moseman and producer Tom Moseman created this press to celebrate writers and artists whose creative bouancy builds community.

WAVEFRONT Series

The geological term, wavefront, refers to a surface of a seismic disturbance. Stone shifts. Splash. Visual record. Light is sent out in all directions. Artists in this series give us direction by pointing to the edges of beauty; they lure others into their wake.

CONFLUENCE Series

Confluence occurs when two or more streams merge or when non-riverine bodies of water meet. This poetry series seeks such convergence by publishing writers from divergent communities — ecological and aesthetic. Reading crosscurrents carries writers into new habits and habitats.
